Happy Pride 2020!
While it is sad that the main Denver Pride Festival & Parade, (which drew over 500,000 attendees in 2019) has gone virtual this year, our spirits won’t be dampened. The LGBTQ+ Community has had a longtime friend in the Colorado brewing industry. So even though this Pride looks a bit different than in years past, many Denver area breweries are still proudly showing their support in this tough time through events, rainbow-themed merch, special beer releases, and an outpouring of love and support for the entire LGBTQ+ community.
Here’s what I found…

Call to Arms Brewing Company (Denver)
Just because we aren’t able to host our 2nd annual Brewer’s Light Pride Parade & Rumpus this year doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate pride in a different, socially-distant fashion. We brewed up a brand new beer and will be rolling it out in 12oz cans on Saturday, June 20th. All profits from can sales will benefit One Colorado. Join us as we unite together to demonstrate support of the LGBTQ community, promote equality, raise awareness, and spread love, compassion, & kindness.
My Favorite Color is You, a Dry-Hopped Lager, is ridiculously crushable and dry-hopped with Citra and Waimea offering notes of orange and citrus with a clean, crisp, refreshing lager finish.

Cerebral Brewing Company (Denver)
We may not get to celebrate Denver Pride with a festival, but despite the pandemic that keeps us apart, Pride feels more significant than ever this year. At its core, Pride Month memorializes a moment in time when passionate individuals took action to instigate change, rectify injustice and demand equality. We don’t need parades, performances, or dance parties to remind us of that. What’s more, this month’s remarkable Supreme Court decision represents a major victory for LGBTQ rights, particularly for transgender individuals.
Every year we celebrate the LGBTQ community with our annual “All The Pride” tee. This year, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Transformative Freedom Fund. This local, queer-lead nonprofit organization believes that all transgender people should have access to medical treatment and transition related care, if and when they choose to use it. They support the authentic selves of transgender Coloradans by removing financial barriers to this life saving transition related healthcare.
Head to the link below to pre-order yours today! Available for shipping within the US or pick up. We will announce on social media when they are available for pick up.

Acknowledgement
All of the above events, shirts, and beers are fabulous, but simply acknowledging support of the LGBTQ+ community really does mean a lot. Here are a couple breweries that gave a special shout out for Pride…
Alternation Brewing Company (Denver)
We haven’t formally gotten a chance to say it, but Happy Pride Month y’all. In these trying times, let the colors of love guide you through the tones of hate. It’s more important than ever to lift each other up on a daily basis through acts of kindness. What have you done today to fortify your mental health? And if you have the strength, what have you done today to help your neighbor? Sometimes it just takes an open ear and open heart.
Frolic Brewing Company (Westminster)
Frolic Monday!!! Everyone is welcome here!!! Eat Drink Frolic!!!
Diebolt Brewing (Denver)
We are proud to support the LGBTQ community and strive to cultivate a safe space for everyone, at all times. ⠀
The only thing not welcome in our brewery is hate in any shape or form!
Wibby Brewing Company (Longmont)
Did you know that a flock of flamingos is called a “flamboyance?” Join ours! Wibby Brewing invites anyone to join us no matter their color, sexual orientation, age, religious belief or background. We live this belief everyday as our handcrafted brews ferment in Acceptance, Happiness, Hope, Love, Peace, Perseverance, Compassion, and Inspiration. Spread and enjoy the lagerlove in the presence of artwork created in solidarity displayed in our space. All are welcome here!
This acknowledgment can simply be changing up their profile picture for Pride Month…
